Safer handling of flammable liquids and solvents with our stainless steel (SS) IBC containers. Our IBC containers are safe and responsibly produced products with a long lifespan. The carbon footprint of a steel container is also significantly smaller than that of a lightweight container.
Our sustainable products are long-lasting and made from the most environmentally friendly materials possible.
Safety
- Finncont is a member of SIA (Solvents Industry Association).
- Safer handling of flammable liquids and solvents with our stainless steel (SS) IBC containers.
- E.g. the following liquids are recommended to be transported and stored in SS containers: acetone, bentzene, ethyl acetate, xylene, hexane, heptane, most of hydro-carbons, kerosene, methyl acetate, styrene, toluene, white spirit 30-40.
- ALLIANZ RECOMMENDATION: NB! Methyl and ethyl acetates are not considered suitable to go into plastic composite IBCs no matter what electrostatic protection is employed in the IBC due to the peculiar property of acetates to charge rapidly during filling operators.

Carbon footprint and sustainability
The recent drive to achieve and promote the circular economy has led to an increasing shift in the transport of chemicals from lightweight plastic containers to stainless steel containers for liquids. The reason for the shift is the higher volume of waste generated by lightweight containers.
