The materials used for rotational moulded
products are thermoplastics, mainly polyethene (PE) and polypropylene
(PP). The materials are recyclable.
Additional information about the materials
and procedures is available on the material supplier's webpage
www.borealis.com.
Polyethene foaming
Foaming is used as heat or sound insulation
or to stiffen a structure. It involves forming air bubbles
in parts of the material thickness so that a normal 5-6 mm
material thickness forms about 15 mm total material thickness.
The required material thickness (usually about
2-3 mm) is molded on the outer surface of the foaming product
in which it is possible to use different colors and textures.
The material is recyclable.
